Kenny Chung, CFA
Managing Director, Portfolio Manager
With over a decade experience in portfolio management and investment research in the fixed income and financial services industry, Kenny is currently the Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Lux Aeterna Capital Limited (Lux), leading the fixed income investment team. He manages the flagship Asia-oriented Lux Aeterna Long/Short Credit Fund (the “Fund”) and other fixed income investment mandates.
The Fund has followed a top performing long / short credit strategy launched by Kenny in 2021. The Strategy was then established as an independent open-ended fund in 2023, which won the Best Fund Launch in Asia (Regional) and Hong Kong by Insight & Mandate in 2024.
From 2018 to 2021, Kenny was a Portfolio Manager at GaoTeng Global Asset Management, co-managing the “GaoTeng Greater China Select Bond Fund” and assisting with the “GaoTeng Asian Income Fund” and other mandates with an average total AUM of about US$1 billion. Prior to GaoTeng, he was a Credit Analyst and Trader at HuaAn Asset Management from 2014 to 2018, co-managing offshore fixed income investments totaling about US$1 billion.
Kenny is frequently invited to speak on Asian credit market by Bloomberg, Wall Street Journal, Reuters, and other major media outlets. He is recognized as an expert in the Asian credit market.
Kenny was featured in 50 rising stars in Tomorrow’s Titans by The Hedge Fund Journal in 2023 and was awarded The Asset’s Most Astute Investors in Asian G3 Bonds for five consecutive years from 2021 to 2025.
